An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Falcon and the Co-Eds, the 1943 William Clemens detective murder mystery crime thriller ("Cute enough to kiss! Deadly enough to kill!"; "Murder lures the Falcon to a school of kissable cuties ...and his strangest crime hunt"; "The Falcon probes heart secrets to trap a mystery murderer!"; "A Dozen Lovely Suspects ..and the lucky Falcon in the middle! The romantic Falcon's most fascinating case.. When double death strikes terror into a swank girls' school.. and 'duty' leads him everywhere!.."; "Based upon the character created by Michael Arlen"; "Original story by Ardel Wray") starring Tom Conway (in the title role as The Falcon), Jean Brooks, Rita Corday, Amelita Ward, Isabel Jewell, George Givot, Edward Gargan, and Cliff Clark. Note that this is one of twelve movies that starred Tom Conway as The Falcon. In the first three movies, George Sanders (who had previously played "The Saint" in a series of movies) played The Falcon, but he apparently tired of the role, and wanted to leave, and instead of ending the series, or having a new actor play the role, he passed it on to Tom Conway in the fourth movie, "The Falcon's Brother" (they played brothers in the movie and in real life they were brothers!) in a clever move, the script had George Sanders' character killed, and his brother, played by Tom Conway, shows up and solves his murder, and becomes the "new" Falcon; and Conway went on to make a total of twelve Falcon movies. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some extra creases, tiny tears, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some foldlines, with some tiny tears and faint stains in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
