He appeared in a few movies and hosted various TV shows including: Inside Detroit, The Boston Strangler, and Armstrong Circle Theatre, but he is certainly best remembered for his longtime association as spokesman for Timex watches (in each commercial, they would subject a Timex watch to all sorts of abuse, and they had the tagline "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking!"). He passed away in 1995 at the age of 89. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by John Cameron Swayze! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Condition: very good to fine. The REPRO is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
