An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Studio Murder Mystery, the 1929 Frank Tuttle Hollywood California romantic crime murder mystery melodrama ("A Paramount ALL TALKING Picture"; about a cheating actor who is murdered, and those around him are all suspected of the crime) starring Warner Oland, Neil Hamilton, Doris Hill, Fredric March (very young and 4th billed in his third real movie role!), Chester Conklin, Florence Eldridge (in her first real movie role!), and Guy Oliver. Note that 4th billed March and 6th billed Eldridge had been married in real life for two years when this movie was made. He had achieved great success with The Wild Party right before this, and one wonders if he didn't use that success to get his wife cast in this movie (he plays the actor who is killed early, and Eldridge plays his wife in the movie!). Theirs was among the most successful of Hollywood marriages and they remained married until his passing in 1975! Also note that original 1929 release movie paper of any sort on this title is incredibly rare!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a jumbo lobby card, a glass slide, and some stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this window card! Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm].

Note that because this card has really major defects, we also pictured the back.

Note that because this card has really major defects, we also pictured the back.

Condition: poor. Some theater needed a lobby card to display, and they trimmed this window card to 11" x 14". One could have the missing areas restored, but consider this before placing a bid on this heavily trimmed window card.
