An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese "B2" Movie Poster (measures 20 1/4" x 28 5/8" [51 x 73 cm]) (Learn More)

Ningen no joken III (released in the U.S. as "The Human Condition III" and "The Human Condition III: A Soldier's Prayer"), the 1961 Masaki Kobayashi Japanese World War II (WWII) action melodrama sequel starring Tatsuya Nakadai, Michiyo Aratama, Yusuke Kawazu, Tamao Nakamura, and Chishu Ryu. Note that this was the third in a series of three films about a Japanese pacifist as he tries to get through World War II, and that first release Japanese posters from any of the three movies are extremely rare.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this 1961 first release Japanese poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Japanese movie! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded four times horizontally and it once had a snipe on back of the lower edge (and it still has tape on back of that edge), and there is ink transfer on back of approximately 7" (which very slightly bleeds through to the front but only upon close inspection in light-colored areas). It otherwise has some creases and tiny tears along portions of some edges and a tiny paper loss tear with paper loss at upper center. The ultra rare poster could certainly be displayed and enjoyed as is, but after a pretty simple linenbacking it would look great!
