A Vintage Paperback Book (measures 4 1/4" x 7" [11 x 18 cm]; 155 pages) (Learn More) Two Faces of Passion, 1961 Hodge Evans sexploitation novel ("they were sisters, identical, breathtakingly lovely. Meet Kit, who would follow a man to heaven... and Theona, whose unholy passions would drag him to hell!"; "Then meet the man they both wanted... wanted badly enough to share - without his knowledge!"; "The shocking story of one man shared by two sisters!") Artist: Ray Johnson Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this paperback book!! Note that this is one of a collection of 31 sexploitation paperback books from the 1950s and 1960s from a collection, and this is the FINAL group from that collection (see below for more), and are auctioning in 31 separate auctions. These are from the repressed 1950s and 1960s, from the days when "respectable" people had few outlets for non-traditional sexual desires, and these "sleaze" paperbacks covered those subjects in depth! They always had lurid covers, and they were often sold "under the counter" (where you had to ask for them). The sexual revolution of the late 1960s made these books pretty irrelevant, but they are a fascinating reminder of repressed sexual attitudes of the 1960s! In 2018, we were consigned a collection of around 300 of these books, and we auctioned them from then until 2021. Since mid 2023, we have been auctioning a different collection, and THIS GROUP OF 31 OF THESE BOOKS IS THE FINAL GROUP FROM THIS NEW COLLECTION, SO AFTER THIS, WE WILL HAVE NO MORE (unless we are consigned others from a new consignor). There is only one of each title, so if you don't purchase a specific book, don't expect to see it again, because there is not another example of it in this collection! Condition: good. The second to last page is separated from the book, but nothing is missing. Learn More about condition grades
