The Lone Ranger was a former Texas Ranger who fought outlaws in the American Old West with his Native American friend, Tonto, and his trusty horse Silver. The radio show was very popular and the character was soon featured in books, comics, TV shows, and several movies (including two serials from 1938 and 1939). The best known incarnation of this character was in the 1949-1957 TV series starring Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels. Artist: H.J. Ward Important Added Info: Note that a knowledgeable collector tells us that this poster was an award from a Kix cereal contest to name Silver's son. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has paper loss in each corner and some staining at bottom. There are a few tears of varying lengths around the edges.
