An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked German Movie Poster (measures approximately 23" x 33") (Learn More) Manon 70 (released in the U.S. in 1971 and in other English-speaking countries as "French Mistress"and as "Manon"), the 1968 Jean Aurel French/Italian/German romantic prostitution melodrama ("Nothing but love... For just a little while.") starring Catherine Deneuve (in the title role as Manon), Elsa Martinelli, Sami Frey, Robert Webber, Paul Hubschmid, and Jean-Claude Brialy NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This German poster measures approximately 23" x 33" and is linenbacked. Also note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this German movie! Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). There were tiny holes at the crossfolds and tiny paper loss in the lower right corner. The poster is well linenbacked but the person who did so pretty much just mounted the poster and left the minor defects alone. They are not very noticeable or distracting, but if they bothered the new owner of the poster, a talented restorer could touch them up without rebacking the poster. Learn More about condition grades
