Carton"; about an English lord who is happily married, except that he is a compulsive gambler, and his wife leaves him over that; he bets all of his money on a horse in a match race, and his wife wisely knows he is sure to lose, so she bets an equal amount on the other horse, and of course, she wins, and that wakes him up to how bad his gambling problem is and how wonderful his wife is!) starring Tom Moore (in the title role as Lord Algy), Naomi Childers (in the title role as Lady Algy), Leslie Stuart, Frank Leigh, and William Burress NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. As is typical with older glass slides, this slide has no holder, but has black tape around all the edges of the glass.
