Artist: Drew Struzan Important Added Info: Note that just about everyone knows that this movie was ultimately titled "Return of the Jedi", but that it had the original working title of "Revenge of the Jedi". Teaser posters were made with the working title, and they were made in both a dated and undated version. There are many reproductions of both versions, but we have carefully examined this poster, and we are 100% certain that it is an original DATED OR UNDATED Revenge of the Jedi" teaser one-sheet (the poster measures slightly differently from other originals, but that is because it was slightly "stretched" during the linenbacking process). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). It also had tiny creases and scuffs on parts of some folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. If I owned this poster, I would surely send it to a restorer who could touch up the folds WITHOUT re-backing it, because afterwards, it will display great, and it shouldn't be all that expensive to do. But please bear in mind that those folds have not been restored, and look at our super-sized image. Learn More about condition grades
