An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 11" x 16 1/2" [28 x 42 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More) Columbia's Short Subject and Serial Victory Program for 1942-3, the 1942 campaign book that was just for Columbia's shorts and serials that they were producing in the upcoming season. At this time, Columbia had become the industry's largest producer and distributor of short subjects, greatly helped by their once every six weeks release of a new Three Stooges short! In this season alone, they released 100 different shorts, including 16 Color Rhapsodies, 16 Columbia Phantasies, 8 America Sings with Kate Smith, and much more. This campaign book that is just for shorts and serials has only 8 pages, but it contains a great artwork ad for The Three Stooges and full-page ads for The Secret Code, The Valley of Vanishing Men, and The Fighting General, but the highlight of this campaign book is the wonderful full-page ad for 1943's "The Batman", which was Columbia's first DC Comics adapation (and preceded its other Batman serial and its two Superman serials). This special campaign book is even more rare than the regular Columbia campaign books! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this campaign book! Condition: very good. There are some smudges on the covers, but otherwise, the book is in really nice condition!
