An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14 1/2" x 22" [37 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) La Revoltee (released in the U.S. in 1951 as "Stolen Affections"), the 1948 Marcel L'Herbier French ultra-depressing romantic melodrama (about a Frenchwoman in Rome who is married with a young child, and after her child dies, her husband commits suicide, and she later meets a man that she finds romance with, but it turns out he is married and there is no future to their relationship) starring Victor Francen, Josette Day, Jacques Berthier, Sylvio De Pedrelli, Ruby D'Alma. Charles Dechamps, Sylvie, and Jaque Catelain. Note that director Marcel L'Herbier was a major French director, and Josette Day had co-starred in La Belle et la Bete two years before, and we don't know what drew them to this incredibly depressing story (although it was made in France soon after World War II, when so many people WERE depressed).
