If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this poster, and that was 9 years ago. The buyer of that poster had it linenbacked and has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! Also note that the poster says "AN MGM MASTERPIECE REPRINT" in the bottom center. This was a terminology used by MGM at this time for some re-releases, and it has caused some collectors to be confused! This poster is the original poster from an undated 1950s (probably 1955) re-release of this movie, and is NOT a "reprint"! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and pretty minor fold wear. It had some faint smudges and scuffs scattered in the image, with tears in the middle of the left and right borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
