What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had pretty minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed onto a thin linen, and unfortunately, after it was backed, it was roughly handled, and it got many creases down the left and right. On the left side, the creases are mostly in the excess linen, but on the right side, the creases extend into the right of the poster all the way down (see our image). I suppose one could have this poster "pressed" or "flattened" without re-backing it, or one could live with the defects, but I would think most collectors would want to have the poster properly re-backed, so bear this in mind before bidding on this poster.
