A 1973 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #5 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (released in other English-speaking countries as "Butch Cassidy" and as "Butch Cassidy and the Kid"), the classic 1969 George Roy Hill (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) outlaw cowboy western ("You've never met a pair like Butch and The Kid"; "Not that it matters, but most of it is true."; "They're taking trains... They're taking banks... And they're taking one piece of baggage!"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; with a superb script by William Goldman) starring Paul Newman (in the title role as Butch Cassidy; "is Butch Cassidy"), Robert Redford (in the title role as The Sundance Kid; "The Sundance Kid is Robert Redford"), Katharine Ross ("is Etta Place"), Strother Martin, Jeff Corey (as the old sheriff), Henry Jones (as the bike salesman), Ted Cassidy (as Harvey Logan), George Furth (as Woodcock), Cloris Leachman (as Agnes), Kenneth Mars (as the Marshal), Timothy Scott (as News Carver), and Charles Dierkop (as Flat Nose Curry) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this card is from the 1973 re-release lobby card set for this movie. The first card in that re-release set has a 1973 re-release NSS number in the bottom right corner, but oddly, the other seven cards do not (this is one of those seven cards). This was very unfortunate, because, since these were clearly printed from the exact same plates as the original lobby cards, this surely means that LOTS of 1973 re-release cards have been unknowingly sold as original release lobby cards (I feel certain that all of these cards are from the 1973 re-release, even though only the first card is marked, because we have also sold the original lobby set, and on that set, ALL of the eight cards have the 1969 NSS number in the bottom right corner, while this card, and all but the first card, do not have any NSS number at all). So to sum up, the 1969 cards had a 1969 NSS number in the bottom right, so they CAN be distinguished from these 1973 re-releases that do not have NSS info in the bottom right. Condition: good to very good. There are some scuff marks and minor creases throughout the card. There are tape stains on the back around the edges of the card but they do not appear to have any effect on the front. Learn More about condition grades
