An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) The Girl from Missouri (also released as "Born to Be Kissed"), the 1934 Jack Conway romantic comedy starring Jean Harlow (in the title role as Edith Chapman), Lionel Barrymore, Franchot Tone, Lewis Stone, Patsy Kelly, and Henry Kolker. Note that star Jean Harlow really WAS from Missouri! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair. The window card was never folded. Its blank top was trimmed off. There were many creases, smudges, and tears around the edges of the poster and there was an uneven fold across the lower part of the card, running through Tone's forehead and the middle of the word "MISSOURI". There were creases in Harlow's forehead and scuffs and creases in her nose and teeth, and there are a large number of creases and scuffs throughout Tone's head and upper body. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The person who backed the card replaced the top area with the blank area from a different card, but otherwise did next-to-no restoration to the card, and its defects are very noticeable.
