A Vintage English Hardcover Book (measures 5 1/4" x 7 1/2" [13 x 19 cm]; 255 pages) (Learn More) Colonel Sun, the 1968 Kingsley Amis (under the pseudonym "Robert Markham") English espionage book about the adventures of the legendary spy, James Bond 007. This book is the first James Bond continuation novel published after the 1964 death of Bond's creator, Ian Fleming. Elements from this book have been used in the films "The World is Not Enough" and "Die Another Day" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Tom Adams Important Added Info: Note that the book cover contains artwork of an unclothed woman, so we have placed a white bar over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual book cover does not have those white bars! Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. We have also included an image of the dust jacket removed from the book, and completely opened, so you can see the entire jacket,
including the flaps. Note that we are not rare book dealers, but we have auctioned thousands of movie related hardcover and softcover books. When we do so, we picture the cover of the book, the title page, and the page with the printing information, so that should allow everyone to quickly identify whatever information they need as to what edition of the book it is (and the images should also give you a good sense of the exact condition of the book in addition to what we wrote below). If you have a correction or addition to the information we list, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good. There are many stains on the covers of the dust jacket and many scuffs around the edges of the dust jacket (see our image). The dust jacket is in a protective sleeve. The book itself is in pretty good condition, but there is slight staining on the top edge of the pages (you see this when you look down at the top edge of the book). Each corner of the inside flap of the front and back of the dust jacket is cut at an angle (we don't know if it was created this way, but we imagine it was). Learn More about condition grades
