An Unfolded Travel Poster (measures 26" x 39" [66 x 99 cm]) (Learn More) Sun Valley, the late 1930s or early 1940s (perhaps 1941) travel poster ("This Summer") promoting tourism to Sun Valley, Idaho, and featuring wonderful art of a leaping woman in the foreground who is literally leaping out of the image, with ice skaters and a lodge in the background. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Also note that this is one of 11 wonderful travel and skiing related posters that were recently discovered in Canada after having sat undisturbed for many decades! We had only auctioned ONE of these posters one time before and the other 10 we had NEVER auctioned! All would benefit from restoration, but most are the kind that do not need a lot of restoration, and after being backed they will display wonderfully (and it is quite possible it will be many years before we again auction even one of these!). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has creases, tears, pinholes and a few tiny bits of paper loss around the edges but the image area is generally in nice condition. It has a water stain near the top of the left blank border and a light horizontal crease across the top 2" of the poster. After a pretty simple linenbacking by a talented professional this extremely rare and beautiful poster will display wonderfully! Learn More about condition grades
