Note that Marilyn Monroe was given the lead in this movie, but she was not yet a major star. Artist: Otello Mauro Innocenti Important Added Info: Note that because this poster was paperbacked onto a thin backing, it will be sent rolled in a very long tube, because folding it would be an outright sin. Note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had a 7" upside-down Y-shaped tear in the center of the top of the poster. It had rating snipe glued to the top right under Jean Peters' credit. It had the tiniest of paper loss at the crossfolds and a tiny bit of paper loss in the bottom center of the image in Monroe's finger. It had a few small tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to paperbacking. Someone backed it onto a thin paper backing doing next-to-no restoration, and either they did not mend some of the small tears in the lower right border, or they were acquired after the poster was paperbacked. Certainly, this wonderful poster could be displayed just as it is, or one could have it linenbacked, performing slight restoration to the above minor defects, but either way, this poster will look wonderful on its new owner's wall!
