He wanted to shoot this movie the exact same way, but MGM refused, and it was shot in "regular" 35mm Panavision. There are some English posters that were printed with "Super Panavision" on them, but the "Super" is blacked over on them (and the first release U.S. posters have solely "Panavision" on them). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and pretty minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. Either the restorer removed the poster from the stretcher too quickly, or the poster came in contact with moisture after it was backed, but either way, it is now lightly rippled around the edges of the linen.
