Tikhij Don (released in the U.S. in 1960 as "And Quiet Flows the Don"; released in Czechoslovakia in three parts), the 1957 Sergei Gerasimov Russian revolutionary war melodrama ("This picture is being distributed by United Artists at the request of the U.S. Department of State in connection with its cultural exchange agreement with the Soviet Union."; "The epic film based on Mikhail Sholokhov's classic novel"; based on the novel 'Tikhij Don' by Mikhail Sholokhov) starring Pyotr Glebov, Elina Bystritskaya, Zinaida Kiriyenko, and Daniil Ilchenko. Note that Kino, the Russian equivalent of IMDb, says this movie was released in three parts from 1957 to 1958.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great!

Condition: good. There are creases scattered throughout the poster. There is a distributor snipe at lower left, a censor stamp at upper right, and a snipe across the middle of the bottom edge. A restorer can remove the poster from the paper and properly linenback it, after which it will look great!
