An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Two-Panel (known in Italy as a "4 Fogli") Movie Poster (2p; measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]) (Learn More) Tutti Contro James Bond (literally translates to "All Against James Bond"), the 1975 Italian poster promoting a James Bond 007 film festival featuring all of the Sean Connery Bond movies (except Never Say Never Again). These included Dr No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, and Diamonds Are Forever. Note that this poster features Averardo Ciriello artwork of James Bond surrounded by villains, which included Goldfinger, 3 Blofelds, Largo and Oddjob. Also note that an Italian expert tells us that he believes this festival occurred exactly in 1975, although the poster is not dated. Artist: Averardo Ciriello Important Added Info: Note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases. Also note that this Italian two-panel poster was printed in 2 sections (designed to overlap) and when combined, the poster measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Condition: fair to good. The poster had tiny paper loss at some crossfolds, and minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but at some point after it was backed, it became heavily water stained in seven places in the left border, both in the excess linen and extending into the left blank border of the poster in those seven areas. While this is very sad, it is fortunate that it is solely in the excess linen and the blank white border, and not at all in the actual poster image. Certainly, this poster needs to be removed from the damaged backing and properly re-backed, but once this is done, this poster will look great, and it will only require some additional restoration in the left blank white border. But please do not bid on this poster unless you have carefully read the above and understand that it absolutely should be re-backed! Learn More about condition grades
