An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Puppetoon (also known as "Madcap Models") was a series of animated stop-motion puppet shorts created by George Pal in England the 1930s and brought to the U.S. in the 1940s. They are memorable for using a series of different hand-carved wooden puppets or puppet parts for each frame in which the puppet moves or changes expression, rather than moving a single puppet. A typical Puppetoon required 9,000 individually carved and machined wooden figures or parts. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair to good. The poster is rippled throughout and it has some patches of slight discoloration scattered in various areas (especially the lower quarter credits area where a snipe has been glued). It has tiny creases, tears, bits of paper loss and areas of separation along portions of the vertical foldline and there is some separation and paper loss at the bottom crossfold. After proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
