Some of his movies include: I Want To Live (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), The Body Snatcher, The Set-Up, The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Sound of Music, and Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Not only did Mr. Wise work over many decades, but he worked in many different genres, and he excelled at all of them, something unusual for a top director! He passed away in 2005 at the age of 91. Important Added Info: Note that this item (which is the first edition of the 1995 book, "Robert Wise On His Films" by Sergio Leemann) has been personally autographed (signed) by Robert Wise! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to be authentic.
