An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 9 1/4" [21 x 23 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Bullitt, the classic 1968 Peter Yates San Francisco California crime car chase action thriller ("The word 'cop' isn't written all over him - something more puzzling is."; "There are bad cops and there are good cops - and then there's Bullitt."; "Bullitt comes to this theatre soon. That ought to shake up the place pretty good. Not many freaky cops like Bullitt around. You look at the Italian shoes and the turtleneck and you have to wonder. You listen to the official beefs about 'personal misconduct,' 'disruptive influence,' you figure he's got to be up for trade. But when some rare Chicago blood starts spilling in San Francisco, they give Bullitt the mop. They weren't exactly doing him a favor. But they've done a great big one for you."; "Detective Lt. Frank Bullitt - some other kind of cop. Pity the guy he works for."; "Based on the novel 'Mute Witness' by Robert L. Pike"; about a detective who drives a 1968 Ford Mustang GT fastback while pursuing professional hitmen who murdered the wrong guy and let's not forget the really cool chase scenes!) starring Steve McQueen (in the title role "as Bullitt"), Robert Vaughn, Jacqueline Bisset, Don Gordon, Robert Duvall, Simon Oakland, and Norman Fell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is from a special set of 8 stills called "Story-in-Pictures". This was something that was done in the early 1960s. A set of 8 stills were created that were numbered, and they were designed to be placed in the lobbies of theaters in number order, and each of the stills had a long paragraph on the bottom that basically told you the entire story of the movie. I guess these sets were intended to serve as a kind of written preview of the movie with pictures, but apparently, they were not very popular, since I have only seen a few of them (perhaps the problem was that no one at the studio wanted to take the time to create them!). In any event, I think they are pretty cool, and they are definitely far more rare than the regular stills from the corresponding movies (these were made in ADDITION to the regular stills, not in place of them). Aso note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 9 1/4" [21 x 23 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
