An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Broadway Bill, the 1934 Frank Capra horse racing gambling romantic love triangle comedy melodrama ("Great Alone - Perfect Together!"; "Two Great Stars in The Comedy Successor to 'It Happened One Night'"; "The Comedy Successor to 'It Happened One Night'!"; "Based on the story by Mark Hellinger"; screen play "by Robert Riskin"; about a gambler who is married to the daughter of a millionaire, but she doesn't share his interests in gambling or horse racing, but her younger sister does, and it takes him a while to realize that he married the wrong sister!) starring Warner Baxter, Myrna Loy, Walter Connolly, Helen Vinson, Margaret Hamilton, Clarence Muse, and Broadway Bill the horse (in the title role). Director Frank Capra remade this film in 1950 as the musical "Riding High", in which he actually used many of the same actors so he wouldn't have to re-shoot any of the big race scenes, which were reused from this film! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has "TRR" running down the center. One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that the still (and many others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of the stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us! Condition: very good.
