7th Heaven, the 1927 Frank Borzage (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) silent France romantic tearjerker melodrama ("Based on John Golden's Stage Success"; "The motion picture by Austin Strong"; about a poor Paris sewer worker who prays for a pretty wife, and then he rescues a girl about to be arrested by claiming she is his wife, but then he goes into World War I, and she hears he has been killed, but he returns to her at the climax of the movie blinded; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Janet Gaynor (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film and two others; this was the first year Academy Awards were given!), Charles Farrell, Gladys Brockwell, David Butler, Ben Bard, Albert Gran, George E. Stone, and Emile Chautard

Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: fair to good. There is a diagonal crack in the lower left, entering the bottom left edge of the inset image. Otherwise, the slide is in nice condition, but this is a significant defect, so bear this in mind before placing a bid.
