You Can't Get Away With Murder"; about a young man who falls under the influence of a petty gangster, and his sister tries to get him to change his ways before it's too late) starring Humphrey Bogart, Gale Page, Billy Halop, John Litel, Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson, Joseph Crehan, Harvey Stephens, and Harold Huber NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Alfredo Capitani Important Added Info: Note that this movie opened in Italy in 1949, but this poster is dated 1950. That almost certainly means that the movie was successful and continued to play into 1950, and that more posters were needed, and that they were printed in 1950 with the new date, but almost certainly otherwise the same. This situation exists with other Italian movies from this time, and most collectors do not seem to care very much about whether the poster is dated one year or the other, because both are from the first release of the movie. Note that Italian posters from the first few years after World War II are among the most rare posters there are! Apparently, there were still major paper shortages in Italy, and few posters were printed, and most were recycled. This is an extremely rare first release Italian poster from 1950, which we have never auctioned before! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small tears and some paper loss on parts of several folds and in parts of the borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking.
