If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this movie first played in Belgium in 1945 in Brussels (it did not open in France until 1946). Also note that this poster was printed on the back of an old map! During World War II in Belgium, there was a massive paper shortage, and so they used whatever paper they could find to print the movie posters, and in many cases they used old maps, and printed the movie posters on the reverse. They also often made the posters smaller, so they could get more posters printed. This practice continued for a couple of years after World War II. Since these posters are original, and since all such posters are printed on the back of maps or other posters, this is not considered a defect by almost all collectors, but the printing from the map can show through to the front (especially in the light colored areas, and we always note that in our condition description). Condition: good to very good. The poster has several horizontal folds and paper residue at the bottom from a snipe that was once glued there. It has pinholes in the corners and where the top blank areas was folded back and stapled at one time. There are some light creases scattered throughout the poster. The printing from the map on the back (see above) very slightly shows through to the front and some of the blank borders and light colored areas. Learn More about condition grades
