An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Green Slime, the 1968 (released in the U.S. in 1969) Kinji Fukasaku U.S./Japanese science fiction (sci-fi) monster horror thriller ("The Green Slime are coming!"; "The Green Slime are here!"; "Invaders From Beyond the Stars!") starring Robert Horton, Luciana Paluzzi, Richard Jaeckel, Bud Widom, Ted Gunther, David Yorston, Robert Dunham, and Gary Randolf NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Vic Livoti Condition: good. The poster had a snipe over the "are coming!" area at the top of the poster (this is because theaters were sent a "is here!" snipe to glue over that area). When the poster was linenbacked, the restorer removed the snipe, and there were stains on the black and green areas where the snipe had been. The restorer touched up the green letters in that area and you can clearly see where the stains were, as the green does not match well. Otherwise, the poster had some creases and tears along folds and some minor border defects, none of which were restored all that well. If I owned this poster, I would have a restorer do additional color touch up to the green letters of "are coming", and then I think I could display the poster as is (another choice would be to re-back the poster). Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster.
