A 2014 Re-Release Theatrical Folded Hand Painted Lebanese Movie Poster (measures 78" x 126" [198 x 320 cm]) (Learn More) The Batman, the 1943 Lamber Hillyer classic DC Comics comic book superhero action adventure crime fighting serial ("A hundred times more thrilling on the screen!"; "A Columbia Chapter Play"; "the great action serial thriller!"; "All the action and thrills of the comic strip multiplied a hundred-fold!"; "In the hands of his enemies! Can Batman escape?"; "Daring in action! Carrol Naish (who plays the Asian villain, Dr. Tito Daka!), Shirley Patterson, William Austin (as Alfred), and Charles C. Wilson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Zeineddine Important Added Info: Note that the poster artist was likely "inspired" by the 1965 Aurora Batman model kit which features the hero in a very similar pose (with the owl and bats)! Note that starting around a year ago, we at eMoviePoster.com were consigned recent Egyptian posters that were used at an Egyptian movie theater showing classic movies. We were told that these showings occurred starting around 20 years ago, and that they continued to the present day. Some of the posters we have auctioned have enough age to them that they appear to be 10 or more years old, but others seem to surely be from the last couple of years. NOW, we have been consigned FIVE hand painted billboard sized Lebanese posters that were apparently hung on the walls at similar Lebanese showings! Each measures around 6 feet by 12 feet (see above for the exact size) and each is a one of a kind poster, painted by the Lebanese artist "Zeineddine"! We were told that this specific poster was used in 2014 at a showing of this movie, and that information is handwritten on the back of the poster, but we can't verify that. The above is all the information we have about this poster, so please do not bid unless you can accept these uncertainties as to exactly when it was created and how it was used. Also note that this Lebanese poster was printed in 5 sections designed to overlap. Condition: good to very good. As described above, this is a one of a kind hand painted poster, created on multiple sheets of poster paper. It was attached to a wall with pins around the edges, so there are pinholes around the edges. There is some rippling in parts of the poster that might have been caused by water staining or when paint was applied to the paper. Two of the sections had some paper loss in some of the borders, and someone put paper tape over those areas. See our image to get a sense of the exact condition of this poster.
