Worthington Foulfellow), Frankie Darro (as Lampwick), and Charles Judels (as Stromboli) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this special set of 13" x 15" prints was sent to theaters in a set of 4, but there were two different sets created. One set was from the theater where the movie had its world premiere on 2/7/40, the Center Theatre, and that set came in a paper portfolio that snaps shut and inside is a 6" sleeve that gives all the information about the premiere, and there is an acetate overlay that protects the prints and has "Lithographs of original paintings used in the production of Pinocchio" printed on the acetate. The other was from regular theaters that showed the movie after its premiere, and that set came in a simple printed blue bag. The set we are now offering is the one from the premiere of the movie! The folder has a metal snap on it, and a blank cover. When you open the folder, there is a flap that holds four full-color 13" x 15" prints, and on the flap is printed the date of the premiere, with full credits for the movie (see our image). The four 13x15 color prints are printed on a lobby card-like paper with wide borders (the images measure 8" x 10") and in the bottom left corner is "COPYRIGHT 1939, BY WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS", and it includes a clear acetate sheet that lays over the four prints and has a line of writing on it that reads "Lithographs of original paintings used in the production of Pinocchio". Included with this set is an undated 4-page program from the Center Theatre. We previously auctioned three other examples of this set, but one was missing the acetate sheet, and we also auctioned a fourth similar example, but that one was not for the premiere. The first set we auctioned was in nice condition, but the two sets since then were in lesser condition. See our many images of all the items contained in this auction! Condition: very good. The envelope that contains these, which is completely blank on the front and back, has many smudges and stains on both of those blank sides, with some small tears in the top and bottom borders, but it did its job well, which was to protect the contents, which are in nice condition (see our many images).
