Zeppo would appear in their first few films, but then he left the act as well. Of course, the most famous of the brothers were Chico, Harpo, and Groucho. They initially worked at Paramount Pictures, and then shifted to MGM. In the late 1940s, they split up, and Groucho went on to a very long and successful solo career, including hosting the classic TV show "You Bet Your Life". Some of their best movies include: Duck Soup, A Night at the Opera, A Day at the Races, Go West, and Horse Feathers AND Carole Lombard was an actress from the 1920s to the 1940s. In her early movies, she mostly had minor supporting roles in comedies, and she was billed as "Carol", but she added the "e" as she became a major star. One of her greatest successes was Twentieth Century, where she played a girl who has never acted, who becomes a great star under the tutelage of Svengali-like John Barrymore. Some of her other movies include: To Be or Not To Be, My Man Godfrey (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Mr. and Mrs. Smith. In the early 1930s, she married William Powell, but they amicably divorced, and several years later, she had a torrid love affair with Clark Gable, and they later married. Lombard died tragically in a 1942 plane crash when she was at the height of her career. She was just 33 years old. AND Jackie Cooper was a famous juvenile actor in the 1920s and 1930s, who moved into directing and producing, and also did much TV in the 1950s. In later years, he resurfaced as an actor in the Superman movies as Perry White! Some of his movies include: Superman, Skippy (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), and Treasure Island, The Navy Comes Through. He also starred in the TV series "The People's Choice" in the 1950s. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 88. Important Added Info: Note that this French news photo measures 5" x 7" [13 x 18 cm].
