An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28 1/4" x 42") (Learn More)

Traffic in Souls or While New York Sleeps, the 1913 George Loane Tucker silent New York City Swedish-immigrant-girls-sold-into-prostitution-by-gangster sex crime melodrama ("The Great White Slave Photo Drama"; "Six Reels of Thrilling Realities"; "A Powerful Photo-Drama of Today"; "6 Parts 700 Scenes 600 Players"; loosely based on a report by John D. Rockefeller's Rockefeller Commission and an investigation by New York District Attorney Charles S. Whitman) starring Jane Gail, Ethel Grandin, William H. Turner, Matt Moore, and William Welsh. Note that this is one of the first productions of Universal Studios, and it is interesting to note that one of the greatest of studios started off making an exploitation movie (which made lots of money, and helped Carl Laemmle to expand his studio and become one of the leading Hollywood studios). Also note that, at a cost of $25,000, it was reported to be the most expensive feature film made to that time!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet has a very unusual poster design, especially for such an early movie, because there is intriguing border art on the left and right of the poster, including the very unusual black silhouette of the policeman at right! Also note that this one-sheet measures 28 1/4" x 42". Please do not bid on this poster thinking it is 27" x 41".

Condition: very good to fine. There is separation at the crossfolds and some creases and tears around the edges of the poster and a few tiny tears on parts of some foldlines, but overall, the poster is in nice condition, and it is hard to believe it is 95 years old!
