Date Sold 9/26/2017Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Jail Bait, the 1954 Edward D. Wood Jr. (Ed Wood) bad girl crime thriller ("Danger!.. These Girls are Hot!"; "Stay Away From Them... They're Jail Bait!"; "Find the woman... the men can't be far away!"; "Original Screenplay by Alex Gordon and Edward D. Wood, Jr.") starring Dolores Fuller, Lyle Talbot, Steve Reeves, Theodora Thurman, John Martin, Scott McCloud, Bud Osborne, Timothy Farrell, Mona McKinnon, Herbert Rawlinson, and Clancy Malone. Note that Timothy Farrell is completely forgotten today, but he had a fascinating life. He worked for 26 years for the Los Angeles County Marshal's Office, and was a movie actor at the same time! He mostly worked on low budget movies, including several for Ed Wood, although he did play a bailiff in the 1954 "A Star is Born", which was the ultimate typecasting, because he himself had been a bailiff, but he eventually rose to be the County Marshal. But in 1975, he was convicted of a felony (using deputies for political activities), and he was fired. He lived for another 14 years before dying of a heart attack. His life should be made into a movie, no doubt with Johnny Depp in the starring role! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of the most desirable Ed Wood posters there is, and it is nearly impossible to find! We have only auctioned the poster twice in all of our years of auctioning, and we have only auctioned a non-linenbacked poster once, and that was 13 years ago! Condition: good. The poster has tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some small tears and tiny paper loss on portions of some foldlines with pinholes, , smudges and a few stains around the edges. The bottom 3" was folded back and stapled at one time and there are many staple holes at left and right in that area. There are some brown stains in the bottom center of the credits. The poster must have been displayed in a bag and board where the board was corrugated, because the back of the poster has the pattern of the corrugation, but fortunately it has almost no defect on the front. After linenbacking, the poster will look great and not require a lot of paint restoration anywhere in the image. Learn More about condition grades
