An Original Vintage Autographed 5" x 7" [13 x 18 cm] Still (Learn More) Helen Hayes was an actress from the 1910s to the 1980s. Some of her movies include: A Farewell to Arms, Herbie Rides Again, and Arrowsmith. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Airport in 1970, which was 39 years after she won her Best Actress Oscar in 1931 for The Sin of Madelon Claudet. She was married to legendary screenwriter Charles MacArthur, and the mother of actor James MacArthur (and the mother of actress Mary MacArthur, who passed away at just 19, from polio). She passed away in 1993 at the age of 92. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Helen Hayes! Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper and autographed items who purchased this signed item over the years, and he either obtained it from a dealer through the mail, or by writing to the celebrity, and in each case, he compared the autograph he received with known examples of that star's handwriting, and he (and we) believe that this autograph is authentic.
