An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Prince Chap, the 1920 William C. de Mille (billed as "William DeMille") silent romantic family relationship romantic melodrama ("From the play by Edward Peple"; about a guy who adopts a baby girl and becomes her foster father, and after caring for her for over ten years, he realizes that "she is a little girl no longer, but a beautiful brown-eyed love dream") starring Thomas Meighan, Charles Ogle, Kathlyn Williams, Casson Ferguson, Ann Forrest, and Lila Lee. Obviously, it is extremely unlikely that this plot will ever be used again, because in today's world, a story about an older man falling in love with a teen that he "adopts" as a baby is beyond inappropriate! Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
