Blow by blow..."; "Every woman goes for a Champion"; about the rise and fall of a boxing champion; "From the story by Ring Lardner") starring Kirk Douglas (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; which is perhaps his finest performance!), Marilyn Maxwell, Arthur Kennedy (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Paul Stewart, Ruth Roman, and Lola Albright

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had a long tear in the top left corner, running irregularly down the left of Douglas' head, coming close to his ear, and then going down to his shoulder. There were tears in the center of the top border, also in the white background area only. There were some creases and tiny tears on parts of some other foldlines. There was a 3" tear near the middle of the credits area. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer did airbrushing in most of the white background areas (to disguise the tears, and to "even them out"), and the restoration in the background areas is slightly noticeable, but not really distracting.
