An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) The Power and the Glory, the 1961 Marc Daniels made-for-TV religious Catholic priest-versus-government melodrama ("Out of Graham Greene's Novel that made the world gasp... The Drama of a priest who somehow stumbled onto the road to martyrdom"; "A supporting cast that writes a new chapter in dramatic history!"; a theatrical release of the made for TV movie; based on the novel by Graham Greene; about a Mexican priest who challenges the government which has outlawed the Catholic church; white American and English actors are cast in the Mexican roles, which hurts the movie, in my opinion, even though these are some of the finest actors that ever lived; a movie was made from this same novel earlier in 1947 by John Ford, who called it "The Fugitive", and it starred Henry Fonda as the Mexican priest) starring Laurence Olivier ("in an amazing virtuoso performance"), Julie Harris ("as the woman"), George C. Scott ("as the soldier"), Roddy McDowall ("as the Judas"), Keenan Wynn ("as the whiskey man"), and Patty Duke ("as the child") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Condition: very good to fine. There are creases and tiny tears on a few foldlines and separation and tiny paper loss in a few crossfolds (more so on the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded). There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears in the borders, but overall, the poster is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
