An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Jane Eyre, the 1934 Christy Cabanne romantic rich-older-man-poor-beautiful-woman melodrama (based on the classic novel by Charlotte Bronte) starring Virginia Bruce (in the title role as Jane Eyre), Colin Clive (as Edward Rochester), Beryl Mercer, David Torrence, Aileen Pringle, Lionel Belmore, Jameson Thomas, and Edith Fellows. Note that there had been four silent versions of this Bronte classic in the 1910s, and in 1943 it was remade with Orson Welles and Joan Fontaine in the lead roles, but this 1934 version is completely forgotten today! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a single three-sheet and one-sheet (both of which came from the same amazing find as this poster), and otherwise, we had only auctioned a glass slide and a few stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this six-sheet, which we have never auctioned before! Also note that this six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap. Condition: very good. There are three foreign stamps in yellow background areas around the title and credits. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and several tears along the folds that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded.
