An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Austrian Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 49 1/2" x 110 1/2" [126 x 281 cm]) (Learn More) Moulin Rouge, the 1934 Sidney Lanfield Paris France identical twin romantic musical comedy (nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; "A Darryl F. Zanuck Production"; about identical twin French entertainers, and one of them is married, and her husband wants her to quit working, so she switches places with her unmarried sister, and then the husband goes to see the person he thinks is his sister-in-law, but it is really his wife, and she tries to get him to cheat on her with her sister, who is really her!) starring Constance Bennett (in a dual role as identical twins!), Franchot Tone, Tullio Carminati, Helen Westley, and Lucille Ball (in one of her early uncredited roles!) Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Austrian three-sheet, and there is a wonderful chance that this is the only surviving example of this poster, given the extreme rarity of pre-World War II European posters (there was a "find" of a number of different Austrian three-sheets decades ago, but they were all from different movies, and there was just one example of each one, and this poster quite likely came from that find)! Also note that this Austrian three-sheet was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap, and when combined, the poster measures 49 1/2" x 110 1/2" [126 x 281 cm]. Condition: very good to fine.
