An Unfolded Danish Advertising Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 33 1/2" [62 x 85 cm]) (Learn More)

Tobak for den Kraesne Ryger (literally translates to "Tobacco for the Discerning Smoker"), the 1955 Danish advertising poster promoting the purchase of FDB tobacco, and featuring Aage Sikker Hansen art of a native woman carrying tobacco leaves on her head and smoking a pipe! Note that this artwork appears to have been first used in 1945, but that poster only featured the words "FDB" and "Tobak". It was updated in 1955 (and the artist changed the date next to his name) to this version.

Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning!

Condition: good to very good. The poster has several creases scattered in various areas throughout likely due to being handled while rolled. It has a few smudges around the edges but otherwise in pretty good condition and after a simple linenbacking the poster will look absolutely fantastic!
