An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Bullets or Ballots, the 1936 William Keighley political crime thriller starring Edward G. Robinson, Joan Blondell, Barton MacLane, Humphrey Bogart, Frank McHugh, Joseph King, Richard Purcell, George E. Stone, Joseph Crehan, and Henry O'Neill. Note that this movie was made directly after Humphrey Bogart's first major hit, "The Petrified Forest", but Warner Bros. still did not believe in him (or possibly the advertising was prepared prior to the release of The Petrified Forest). He was billed a dismal fourth, and Edward G. Robinson was billed large above the title, and Joan Blondell was billed large below the title, but Bogart was billed in small letters after Barton MacLane! In addition, Bogart only appears on a few of the posters, because the main thrust of the ad campaign was pushing Edward G. Robinson! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned eight lobby cards from this movie, but we have never auctioned THIS card! Note that this card has a stamp on the back that indicates it came from the legendary "Cozy Theater" collection! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. The card has many pinholes across the top and bottom, and the right 3/4" of the card was folded back at one time, with a few pinholes in the left and right. There are pieces of paper tape on the back of the center of three borders, but they were not put there for any restoration purpose. There are two tiny pinholes near the center of the card in the lamp. This rare card displays pretty well as it is, or certainly restoration could be performed with or without backing the card.
