An Original Vintage Unfolded Political Campaign Poster (measures 11" x 21" [28 x 53 cm]) (Learn More)

Elect Dewey and Bricker, the 1944 political campaign poster ("For peacetime jobs 1945-1949") encouraging people to vote for Thomas Dewey and John. W. Bricker for the 1944 elections for U.S. Senator and Associate Judge Court of Appeals respectively. Note that the bottom right of the poster has "PAID POLITICAL ADVERTISING" printed on it!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster is printed on a heavy window card-like stock, and it is guaranteed authentic from when the poster was first created in 1944 (it is not dated, but we know that this is when the election was held, before World War II was over). Also note that this is one of a remarkable group of 13 guaranteed authentic 1940s to 1970s political posters (with a couple of war posters included as well) that we were just consigned! They were acquired by an archive right when they were created, and they have been in storage ever since, until now. These are the sorts of posters that you can find reproductions of on the Internet, but finding guaranteed originals like these is incredibly difficult (years can go by before these are offered for sale or at auction). This is a very rare opportunity to purchase any of these 15 posters!

Condition: good to very good. There are some tears and small areas of paper loss in the borders, with a crease in the top left corner, and a 2" tear in the lower left border that enters the blue background. Otherwise, it is in pretty nice condition.
