A Lenticular English Commercial Poster (made to be sold directly to the public; measures 18 1/2" x 26 1/2" [47 x 67 cm]) (Learn More) Jimi Hendrix was an American rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) musician and singer-songwriter from the 1960s to 1970. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music, and one of the most influential musicians of his era. He won several prestigious rock music awards during his lifetime (both as a solo artist and as part of The Jimi Hendrix Experience), and many more posthumously. The Jimi Hendrix Experience was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005. Sadly, he passed away in 1970 at the age of 27 from aspiration associated with barbiturate intoxication (making him part of the infamous '27 Club'). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a lenticular poster. First made on rare occasions in the 1960s, lenticular posters are posters that have a "3-dimensional" look to them, and when you look at them from a slight angle, they look one way, and then when you look at them from a different angle, they look entirely different! It is said that not that many of each lenticular poster was made, likely due to the added cost of production. They can be easily damaged, and cannot be rolled tightly, as can a regular printed poster. We have provided two images of this poster, both shot at angles, to allow you to see what "both" images look like, but please remember that you are bidding on a single poster, NOT two posters!
