An Autographed 4 1/2" x 6" [11 x 15 cm] Cut Album Page (Learn More) Sessue Hayakawa was a Japanese actor from the 1910s to the 1960s. He was typecast playing Asian villains in the 1910s and 1920s. He made a memorable return from a long partial break from films with his starring role in The Bridge On The River Kwai (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film). Some of his other movies include: Swiss Family Robinson, House of Bamboo, and The Begger Prince. He passed away in 1973 at the age of 84 AND William Gargan was an actor from the 1920s to the 1950s, mostly in Universal movies. Some of his movies include: The Bells of St. Mary's, Who Done It?, They Knew What They Wanted (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and You Only Live Once. He passed away in 1979 at the age of 73. Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Sessue Hayakawa AND William Gargan (each person signed one side of the page)! It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display (of course, the new owner would have to choose which side to display!). Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signatures to likely be authentic.
