What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had some tears and paper loss in parts of the borders, very slightly entering the background, with a diagonal crease and a tear in the lower right corner, entering the "OAN" of "LOAN". Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The person who backed the poster did restoration only to the bottom left corner in the black background, where there was paper loss, but left alone the areas of paper loss scattered in the blank borders (see our image).
