Ross Lederman ice hockey sports romantic murder mystery gambling crime thriller ("Chills, Thrills and Spills!"; "Two-timing crooks crash big time hockey... to slam across an all-time high in chills, thrills and spills!"; about a star hockey player who is killed during an "accident", and his brother, also a hockey player, starts to investigate it and discovers his brother was killed because he was about to reveal that the other players were throwing games, because the owner of the team ran a giant gambling ring that was making bets on other teams; things get complicated when he falls in love with the coach's beautiful daughter) starring Charles Quigley, Rita Hayworth, John Gallaudet, J. Farrell MacDonald, and Arthur Loft. Note that this was one of Rita Hayworth's early co-starring roles, a few years before she became a major star! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the movie is called "Flashing Skates" on the snipe on the back of this still, which was the working title for this movie! Also note that this still is a key book still, printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Someone trimmed away the extra 1" from the left of the still. Condition: very good. The left 1" was neatly trimmed off (see above). Otherwise, the still is in nice condition!
