An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 10 1/4" x 13 1/2" Movie Still (Learn More) King of the Lumberjacks, the 1940 William Clemens romantic timber logging love triangle melodrama (from the story by Robert E. Kent) starring John Payne, Gloria Dickson, Stanley Fields, Joe Sawyer, and Victor Kilian NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Also note that the still shows a great candid image of Gloria Dickson in a bathing suit and cap laying on the edge of the ocean in Palm Springs, California after having completed filming "King of the Lumberjacks"! Note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of the still, and then folded over to the front. This was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby (and of course, the snipe would be folded backwards, so it would not show). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off.
