Artist: C.E. Millard

Condition: good to very good. Apparently, some demented person was standing in front of this poster (likely in a theater lobby in 1940) and they were bored, and they scribbled on the noses of the top four faces, and in the forehead of the blonde lady and also in the cheek of the man at top right (his nose was defaced as well). Otherwise, the poster was in pretty nice condition prior to linenbacking, with just some minor fold and border wear. Some talented restorer performed touch up to the faces with paint, repairing the damage, but you can still see slight signs of restoration (especially once your attention is called to it). But from any reasonable viewing distance, the damage is not very noticeable or distracting at all. But please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept this unusual defect and the significant restoration it required!
