Douglas Fairbanks Jr. was a major leading actor from the 1910s to the 1980s. He was the son of famous silent star Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. Some of his movies include: The Prisoner of Zenda, Gunga Din, Parachute Jumper, Little Caesar, and A Woman of Affairs. He was married to Joan Crawford from 1929 to 1934, and went on to marry two more times. He passed away in 2000 at the age of 90.
Important Added Info: Note that the letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Douglas Fairbanks Jr.! Also note that this auction also includes the envelope the letter originally came with, and also FOUR vintage 8" x 10" photos of Fairbanks: one is a portrait from "The Prisoner of Zenda", which has a snipe on the back, one is a still from "The Barker" from 1928, one is of Fairbanks in a football uniform with a man we can't identify, and the last is a special 8x10 that was given out in Screenplay Secrets magazine in 1930 (see our image).

Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autograph is authentic.

Condition: very good. The photos range from "very good" to "very good to fine". The letter is in nice condition!
